Washington, DC – After the Supreme Court deadlock decision today that formally upholds the lower court order forbidding the President’s use of executive action to launch a program that would grant amnesty to illegal immigrants, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) released the following statement:

“Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of our Constitution, our system of government, our checks and balances.  The President’s use of executive action on immigration was deemed unlawful and legally invalid.  This is a further reminder of the important decisions our Supreme Court justices are appointed to make on behalf of the American people and in the interest of the country.”
