Last week, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) made his way around the 16th Congressional District of Illinois. He held roundtables on the opioid epidemic, tours at various facilities, and an event to honor our veterans for their brave service. Here are a few photos from last week:
On Wednesday, the Congressman held roundtable discussions to talk about the opioid and drug epidemic and how the Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act (CARA) law can help. Below is a photo from the Opioid Roundtable in Lee County where Congressman Kinzinger was joined by individuals who handle opioid problems on a daily basis.
Following his roundtable discussions in Grundy and Lee Counties, Congressman Kinzinger met with the folks at Rosecrance, a facility that provides help, hope, and a road to recovery for youth, adults, and families dealing with addiction and mental health issues. The Congressman presented Rosecrance with an official proclamation on their 100th Anniversary.
Ending the week, Congressman Kinzinger had the honor of presenting eight veterans from the district with commendations for their service to our country, our community, and their fellow veterans. It was a moving experience and a special opportunity for the Congressman to recognize these American heroes.
