Jerusalem, Israel – Yesterday, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) joined a Congressional delegation led by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel. In the meeting, the Members of Congress shared their concerns over terrorism in the Middle East and reaffirmed the strong alliance between the United States and Israel. After the meeting, Rep. Kinzinger released the following statement:
“It was an honor and privilege to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu today. I learned a great deal from our conversation, and have immense respect for the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to combat terrorism and protect his citizens. As I have said many times, Israel is one of our strongest allies and we must continue to reinforce that deep and historic relationship between our two nations. We share a commitment to fighting global terrorism and it is in our best interest, as well as the world’s, that we support Israel, and seek stability and security throughout the Middle East.”
In addition to Senator Graham and Rep. Kinzinger, the Congressional delegation included Senator David Perdue (R-GA), Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), Representative David Jolly (R-FL), and Representative Tom Rice (R-SC). The purpose of this travel is to meet with Middle East host countries’ senior government officials on matters regarding regional and national security.
