Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) recently made several stops across Northern Illinois. He had facility tours and meetings, held a town hall, joined a ride-along with the Superior Ambulances, attended an event for ‘National Night Out’ and hosted an information session for veterans. Here are a few photos from those visits:
Following a visit and tour at All World Machinery Supply, the Congressman visited Superior Ambulance in Loves Park, IL. He participated in a ride-along with a Veteran EMT ambulance crew.
Congressman Kinzinger’s bill, H.R. 1818, focuses on increasing the number of EMTs by streamlining the process for military EMTs to become civilian EMTs. During his ride-along, the Congressman saw firsthand how important it is to have these local heroes supporting and serving our community.
After his ride-along, Congressman Kinzinger attended the Fourth Annual Braidwood Police Department’s ‘National Night Out’ Event. This annual event is a great opportunity for the community to get together and honor our first responders and law enforcement.
Supporting our law enforcement and our military is critical, and Congressman Kinzinger knows it is just as important to help our veterans when they get home from active duty and beyond. On August 4th, the Congressman brought the VA to Pontiac to help local veterans better understanding their benefits and the process for applying.
Following the veteran forum, Congressman Kinzinger held a Town Hall in Gibson City, IL at the Moyer District Library. The room was at capacity for a great discussion on local, state, and national issues, followed by several questions from the crowd.
