Congressman Kinzinger Announces IL-16 Winner of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition
Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced the winner of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for the 16th District of Illinois and released the following statement:WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced the winner of the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for the 16th District of Illinois and released the following statement:
“This year, our winner is Brooke Pentecost (Ottawa, IL) of Ottawa Township High School. Brooke’s watercolor painting “Boots” was selected out of 27 submissions and, as the winning piece, it will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one full year here in Washington, D.C. Glad to welcome Brooke and her mother, Amy, to the Capitol this week to see her work displayed.
“On behalf of the 16th Congressional District, I extend a big congratulations to Brooke and to our runner-ups – we’re glad to have your artwork adorn our walls. Special thank you to everyone who participated this year for sending in their impressive artwork. We have great talent in our district, and I’m grateful to each of you who shared your talent with us this year.”
