House passes Kinzinger's SOAR Act

WASHINGTON (WIFR) - The house has passed legislation, introduced by Representative Adam Kinzinger, which helps push new training and education programs to spot human trafficking.

The Stop, Observe, Ask, Respond, or SOAR Act was passed through with bi-partisan support. The health and wellness legislation helps provide training to see the signs of human trafficking but would also help victims get the care they need.

Representative Kinzinger says the act gives people the proper tools to stop human trafficking.

Kinzinger said in a statement, "I believe this pilot program will have a significant impact towards putting an end to this heinous crime and I hope to see the Senate act on it soon."
