More than 150 people attended the Grundy Economic Development Council's annual Legislative Breakfast at the Morris County Club Monday morning.

GEDC President Nancy Norton moderated the event, asking questions of lawmakers that were submitted from those in attendance.

U.S. Congressman Adam Kinzinger was one of those legislators speaking at the event, discussing a variety of different topics.

One of those was Net Neutrality, stating there is a lot of misconception surrounding the decision to repeal the measure.

Kinzinger believes companies will have more room to innovate and grow without those restrictions in place.

Kinzinger, a Republican representing Illinois’ 16th congressional district, also shared his thoughts on the recent tax cut and discussed the benefits.

Finally, Kinzinger spoke about the withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal by President Trump, a decision that was highly controversial.

He believes the renegotiation process will involve a lot more than preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Kinzinger is up for re-election this year, facing off against Democratic challenger Sara Dady.
