Rochelle News: LETTER: Thanks to Kinzinger for baby formula bill vote
The U.S. House of Representatives recently vote on a bill to provide more baby formula as quick as possible and hire additional, permanent FDA inspectors at baby formula plants in order to ensure safety of their products for infants no and in the future.
Congressman Adam Kinzinger, parent of a toddler, voted in favor of the bill. Congressman Darin LaHood voted against the bill. Without baby formula, infants starve and may die. It is absolutely essential.
Congressman LaHood, however, supported tax cuts for the rich and corporations. Clearly Congressman LaHood would rather see the wealthy gain more wealth than helpless infants get the nutrition they cannot live without. Mr. LaHood is not for families unless they are rich.
Thank you, Congressman Kinzinger for standing up for families and voting for the baby formula bill.
